Jiu Zhai Gou is in the Si Chuen Province, China. At some 3,000m above sea level, it is one of the few highland remains of the glazial ages in the world. The name of the place in Chinese means "Nine Tribes Valley". Historically, it has been inhabited by minority tribes.
