Chinese tea set is that tea set which is made of porcelain or china but it has certain traditional Chinese touch to it. It is either made of Chinese clay or some traditional Chinese motifs are printed on them. Yixing tea set and the Gongfu tea set are the two types of Chinese tea sets. Drinking of tea is celebrated as a ceremony in China. Thus the tea-service required for such a ceremony is also elaborate. A Chinese tea set consists of a teapot, tea cups, creamer, sugar bowl, sugar tongs or spoons, saucers, strainer and a tray. Cups with in-built infusers in them may or may not form a part of such a service. The Chinese tea set can be white or cream colored with the traditional motifs painted in black on them, or they may be multi-colored.
